Either the Booker or the Provider may cancel a confirmed booking from the Bookings dashboard. Cancellations are recorded on the Provider's performance history and affect their reliability score.

48-Hour Rule: If a booking is cancelled 48 hours or more before the scheduled event start, any funded deposit is fully refunded to the paying party.

Late Cancellations: If a booking is cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled event start, 50% of the funded deposit is forfeited to the non-cancelling party as a disruption fee, and the remaining 50% is refunded to the paying party.

Escrow Simulation: Refund and forfeiture amounts are calculated automatically and recorded on the booking record at the time of cancellation.

808 Events acts solely as an escrow facilitator for these transactions and is not liable for disputes arising from a cancellation beyond the platform fees it has collected.
